Jeremy and I went on a mission to get a couple tricks. I just got my new lens in the mail, and really wanted to shoot something that could test it's accuracy and response to light. We went to a spot that I had never been to, but since having gone there, I've seen it in magazines and random ads galore. Chris Pastras has a trick on the wallride, and Daniel Shimizu has some tricks at that spot. Anyway, we were so determined to get these tricks - here's what we got instead.

Raleigh + Footage
If you were ever in middle/high school and listened to Sublime's Robbin the Hood, you will appreciate this.
ps, the new PBF is amazing - especially if you have ever been to a skateboarding church...

Feeeble + Footage
Jeremy is really good at the feeble grind. He kills it. Here's some footage taken from the new feeble TF in Burbank. Three round metal rails grabbed our attention as we were driving by. Even though I couldn't do a nose slide, Jeremy killed it. Dirty lenses, slamming into fences, and blocking a nice parking spot - still not the best spot in Burbs.

Jeremy Is Gone + Footage
So Jeremy went home the other day. Our super good friend, Ashley, was good enough to drive him to the airport, and I rode along. He's been gone for a couple days now, and already I'm happier. Haha.. I'm just masking my feelings of pain and frustration from his disappearance. Check out what I grabbed on his way out. If you pay close attention, you will see that Jeremy doesn't really know what airline, or what his ticket information is. He has to call his mom super late to get the info from her. Wow, it must be AWESOME to be a mom.

Accidental Firing
Jeremy (my homemate) was trying to find me the other night, and was gonna pick me up. I was flashing the flash on my camera as a homing beacon so that he could find me, and accidentally took this photo when I finally got a little closer... You can kinda see him in there. I think it's around a 3 second exposure with the flash.

Las Vegas Job
Recently, I got a job working in Las Vegas for Michael Mann and Dante Spinotti - two of my favorite film makers - and spent 4 nights shooting from 2 PM to 6 AM. It was my first time in Vegas without being under the legal age, and so I got to spend some quality time in the casinos at 7 AM after getting off work with Jeremy:

I had a great time playing Roulette, and scoring chick-dudes off the strip. Hahahaa, just playing.

The cars on the job would get up to 150 MPH and then we shot a huge crash sequence. It was amazing to see these pro's working. Here's some more fotos:

Working for myself and maintaining creative control over my work is great, but working for famous people has it's upsides for sure.
